Trabajo realizado como parte de la banda sonora de la película que lleva su mismo nombre,editada por el sello discográfico A&M Records en 1982,bajo el genero :New Wave y Rock.

Tiene una duración de 36:50 minutos ,en la película Sting tiene un protagonismo principal y compuso la mayoría de los temas ,tanto así que en 1984 Sting recibió un premio Grammy por la canción " Spread a Little Happiness" como la mejor interpretación instrumental de rock,canción de la cual se iba editado un single.

Este álbum grabado en la gira de la reunión en el año 2007, pasa a ser uno de varios formatos en que se edito esta obra maestra,pero sin duda la joyita fue su dvd,que esta catalogado como el mejor de todos. Esta fue una recopilación de los conciertos que dieron en Buenos Aires los días 1 y2 de diciembre de ese mismo año y salio a la venta en el 2008.

Hay que destacar que este álbum contiene grabaciones de sesiones del día 28 de mayo de 1977 en París en "Virtual Earth Studios" en "Swiss Cottage".

Aquí "Mike Howlett" bajista del grupo"Gong" quizo formar el grupo Strontium 90 ,pero apesar de que quedaron estas grabaciones publicadas el 29 de julio de 1997,nunca se llego a realizar y the police siguió su camino por la senda del éxito y Mike Howlett tubo que esperar 20 años para que sus grabaciones con the police fueran publicadas por el sello "Pangaea - Ark21 Record"en 1 cd con el titulo"Police Academy".

Otro dato importante es que en la version japonesa de este album se agregaron 2 temas mas que son :

"New World Blues (live)" y "Towers Tumble (live)".

La canción "Every little thing she does is magic" es un demo de Sting que mas tarde the police la grabaría en su álbum "Ghost in the machine".

Este álbum doble se grabo el 27 de noviembre de 1979 con el 2 y 3 de noviembre de 1983 ,pero su publicación oficial data de junio de 1995 bajo la etiqueta de A&M(casa discográfica).

El productor de este álbum es Andy Summers y tiene una duración de 144:07 minutos.

Hay que resaltar que en el disco 1 casi todos los temas pertenecen al concierto dado en Massachusetts el día 27 de noviembre de 1979 en el teatro Orpheum de Boston.

En el cd 2 están incluidas una recopilación de los conciertos dados los días 2 y 3 de noviembre de 1983 en Atlanta ,Georgia en el "Omni" durante la gira Synchronicity.
